Nick has a new job with internet buzz brand of the moment, Skype. Kind of a strange one – he wasn’t really looking for a job and we were very happy with the way everything was going – Sensis had been great in organising our move over here and Nick had even just celebrated his 5 year anniversary with them – but the job came up and after much discussion and basically an offer and opportunity he couldn’t refuse, Nick decided to take the job. Skype is mainly based in Europe (London, Tallinn, Luxembourg) and has smaller offices elsewhere (nothing in Australia – yet). Nick met with a couple of people yesterday – his direct boss and the President of Skype as well, and is super-excited. Although, that could have also been due to the awesome offices complete with (free!) cafeteria – who said dot-com was over?
