My first Mascot Race was at the AFL Grand Final in 2005 and I think it's probably few people who can say they have been involved in two different Mascot races in two different countries in two different sports. Twenty20 Finals Day (two semi-finals followed by the final) is the biggest day on the domestic cricket calendar and like all good major sporting events, there was a Mascot race. Lanky (from Lancashire) looked good and was leading into the home stretch only to be overtaken by the Kent Spitfire who took out the final honours. Kent later went on to also take home the Twenty20 Cup.
