Les Artistes

One of the most fascinating things at the Louvre was seeing the artists copying paintings. This is, obviously, done with the full approval of the Louvre and apparently the only stipulation is that the copy should not be the same size as the original. I couldn't help but photograph every person we came across - while it's certainly not the same as creating something original, I think there's something truly poetic about painstakingly copying great art.
