We had booked a lovely cottage which I found on Tripadvisor. There were 5 cottages on the farm, all converted from old farm buildings, of which 3 were brand new 'eco cottages' - we were the first guests! The one we stayed in was specially geared for little kids, with fire guards, stair gates, cot etc and it was really really nice - would very happily live there! Ours on the right below -

The view from our front door -

The beach at Mawgan Porth was a 15 minute walk (which we didn't do) or a 5 minute drive, and was enclosed on each side by sheer cliffs which I think is fairly classic Cornwall coastline -

Milo kept wanting to run into the water the first day we went. But on the last day when I took this picture, he just wanted to go back to the car!

For lunch on Saturday we went to Jamie Oliver's Fifteen in Newquay. The food and service were fantastic and they were really great with Milo. The amazing view from our table -

Nick and Milo fooling around -

The long stretch of beach in front of the restaurant (with the front corner of the restaurant on the right) -

On Saturday afternoon we spent some time walking around the farm. Nick and Milo -

With the chickens -

Horace the donkey and one of the horses -

The crazy ducks getting quite angry with us -

Playing in puddles -

Me and Milo -

On Sunday morning we had a mini Easter Egg hunt in our little courtyard. Milo got right into it and loved finding the eggs hidden around -

The spoils (and Milo's first chocolate!) -

We then went to lunch at Rick Stein's Cornish Arms in St Merryn -

After that it was to a little children's farm we had seen on some signs as we were driving around. Milo feeding the ducks -

Patting the horses -

On the big slide with Daddy -

Nick was a bit scared they wouldn't stop but Milo loved every second -

After that we went to Lanhydrock in Bodmin, a beautiful historic country estate -

The dining room -

The kitchens were vast and fascinating. There were lots of different rooms, each with a different function. This was one of the cool rooms where cheese was kept -

For dinner on Sunday night we went to Padstow and got fish and chips from Rick Stein's cafe. A picture of the harbour -

On Monday we drove back to London with a stop for lunch at a lovely little pub called The Castle Inn in Bradford-upon-Avon.
