Opening presents on Christmas Day

Although Milo has been a bit sick with a cold and fever and had a pretty rough night on Christmas Eve, he very quickly got into opening his presents (in fact, he now understands the concept of presents and cheers when presents are mentioned!) First up was a ukulele (or 'tar, as in guitar, as he calls it) which proved to be the hit of the day -

Buzz (and matching Woody doll)!! Milo adores Buzz which we had thought would be his favourite thing, although he does have lots of Toy Story things already so maybe it wasn't such a big deal for him. He was still pretty excited though, and gave both Buzz and Woody lots of kisses -



We kept a few things back until after lunch so there wasn't too much all at once (and the whole opening of presents lasted a bit longer than 80 seconds...) and all up we think Milo was pretty happy with his gifts.

Our friends Sarah and Justin and Sarah's sister Sophie came over for lunch. Nick and Justin cooked an enormous turkey in our BBQ and we had loads of food and drinks (non-alcoholic for me - and Milo) and had a really lovely day. Quite different to our usual frenzy of eating/driving/eating etc when we are in Australia (and quite cold of course - drinks were kept outside in a pile of snow!)
