Henry at 10 and a half months
Finally Henry is sleeping through the night but likes to wake at 5am (or earlier) which is not ideal but has to be seen as an improvement. So these photos are from early one morning. Aside from the fact it's really early, it's actually quite a nice time to be with him as he's happy and alert and has just got to a stage where he will independently play and explore his toys. He loves these blocks - knocking over ones we have stacked, or dropping them into drawers or toy tubs. He also loves Milo's pirate ship (as seen here), a toy where bits pop up when you push things down, Duplo, musical instruments and balloons. He is now crawling everywhere at pace and will crawl all the way to the kitchen to find me. He is eating better at home (he has been quite fussy with us, although nursery think he is a great eater...) but we still can't quite work out what he wants - sometimes he will eat from a spoon, sometimes he grabs it from you and throws it on the floor. He is definitely strong willed and gets very frustrated if you are stopping him from doing what he wants to do, but he's also very thoughtful, often seen to be observing quietly, thumb in mouth.
