Usually we have our birthday parties at home but this time sensibly decided against inviting a bunch of 3 and 4 year-olds (and their younger siblings) around to ours. So we decided to hold the party at The Alice House, a local cafe/bar with a function room out the back. We were intending to hold the party in the afternoon which is what we normally do, but the room wasn't available so we had to have it in the morning (from 10-1).
Nick organised an entertainer for the big event - the lovely Luke who performed magic tricks, played games and generally kept the kids entertained for about 2 hours all up. The kids all really loved him and got right into the party spirit.
We were really happy with how it went - Milo had a great time, he got loads of presents, the grown-ups had access to good coffee and we were home by about 1:30 (so plenty of time to recover!)
