Nick and Norma at our new favourite local - the Queen's Head and Artichoke - on Frank and Norma's last night in London. We were looking for a traditional pub with standard pub fare but in our part of town pubs are either old school (not in a good way) with no food (or even worse, pre-prepared food from a central kitchen) or gastro-pubs serving high-priced gourmet food on the pretence of some kind of authentic experience. The Queen's Head and Artichoke is definitely of the gastro variety and serves mostly tapas, but is in walking distance, has great service, a beer garden and fantastic food, so it's all good really.
