Winter wonderland!

Usually the snow we get in London is minimal compared to other parts of the country and even when there is quite a bit it usually disappears quickly in built up areas (but will be around longer in the parks etc). However today we woke up to a huge snowfall - apparently the heaviest in London for 18 years! It has caused chaos - they have issued warnings against non-essential driving, all buses in London are suspended and most of the tube is at least partially suspended or severely delayed. For a city that experiences at least some snow in winter, it's strangely ill-equipped to deal with it! (Although that said, neither Nick nor I have any footwear appropriate for this weather...)
