For the record, we arrived on Election Day (Saturday 21st) after a horror overnight London-Singapore flight where no one got much sleep and a much better Singapore to Melbourne leg where we had an extra seat and the wonderful Singapore Airlines flight attendants were even more lovely and helpful than ever - we highly recommend flying Singapore with kids. We stayed at this place which worked out brilliantly for us - nice to have all the space of a house in a great location and not worry about waking anyone up at 2am which was breakfast time for Milo!
We spent the week catching up with lots of family and friends, a little bit of shopping and trying to adjust to the time zone! It was fantastic to see everyone and we're very glad we decided to do it even though a week to the other side of the world with a toddler is not something we would suggest as a smart thing to do. However, since we don't know when we will get back to Australia again (and will very sadly miss this Christmas - albeit for a very happy reason) it was the right decision for us (and fortunately we had a week of quite reasonable weather). The following Saturday, the 28th, was our last day and we were off to Thailand for some rest and relaxation...
