Today also marks the day when Milo is eligible to claim British citizenship (in addition to his Australian citizenship). After five years in the UK, Nick (and I, although I have yet to do so) was able to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain visa status (a permanent resident category as opposed to my official 'temporary' status) which he did today and which means that as Milo was born here, he can claim British citizenship. The new baby will automatically be considered a British citizen on birth as he will be born here also (as well as an Australian citizen by descent). The important question, of course, is which team will they support in the Ashes?
