Although I still haven't seen the last 2 (maybe 3?) movies, I am a big Harry Potter fan and have read all books so Nick thought it would be fun to book us tickets for the recently opened '
The Making of Harry Potter' at Warner Bros. Studios, about half an hour out of London (where they actually shot all the films).
The tour is pretty amazing. It opens with an introductory video featuring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint and they make the point that not only did they grow up on the set, but hundreds of people worked behind the scenes for 10 years to create the movies. The tour focuses a lot on the art direction and design which is truly quite awesome. Here are a few photos (all from our iPhones so apologies for the poor quality).
(For future reference, lunch was an impromptu Roast Club at
The Grove nearby which was brilliant).
